The result was a clear majority for PDG Nan McCreadie from the Rotary Club of Feltham, District 1140.

The successful candidate in the ballot for this district’s nomination for the RIBI Selection Advisory Committee wasPDG Robert Morris.  Robert also won the ballot to be our representative at the Council on Legislation in 2013.

District Governor Elect Trevor is pleased to announce that, following the nomination by clubs of only six candidates for election as Assistant Governors to serve in 2011-12, Rtn. Uday Das (RC Tower Hamlets) and Rtn Chris Wyatt ( RC Putney) have been appointed to fill the vacancies.    They will serve as follows:

North – Uday Das (Tower Hamlets);

South-West – Chris Wyatt (Putney);

North-East – Sam Baxi (Gants Hill),

North-West – David Palmer (Barkingside);

Central – Suraiya Kassamally (Barkingside);

East – Tom Hunt (Leytonstone & Woodford));

West – Alan O’Neil (Hanwell & Northfields);

South-East – Mac Purcell (Paddington)

The following nominations were received for district officers to serve in 2011-12

Assistant Governors - Sanmukh (Sam) Baxi (Gants Hill), Tom Hunt (Leytonstone & Woodford), Suraiya Kassamally  (Barkingside), Alan O’Neill (Hanwell & Northfields), David Palmer  (Barkingside), Mac Purcell  (Paddington).

District Secretary – Brian Watkins (Greenford)

Assistant District Secretary – Mike Abbott (Heston & Isleworth)

District Treasurer – Sydney Parker (Northwick Park)

Assistant District Treasurer – Doreen Browne (Radlett)

Only six nominations were received for the eight Assistant Governor offices and only one nomination was received for each of the offices of Hon Secretary, Hon Assistant Secretary, Hon Treasurer and Hon Assistant Treasurer.  All those nominated are therefore elected unopposed.

The successful candidate in the ballot for District Governor for the year 2013-14, announced at last month’s meeting of District Council, was Dick Nathan (Northwick Park).
