Chris Leverton – passed to higher service

The Rotary Club of St Pancras are sad to record the death of Chris Leverton, a member for more than 60 years. Chris was the son of Stanley Leverton, perhaps the most famous of British Rotarians, creating the plan for the development of Rotary in London. He often reminded us of all the days when, as a boy, he sat upon the knee of Paul Harris, a regular visitor to the Leverton household.  For details of the funeral arrangements contact Honorary Secretary, Diana Goodwin.

103 year old Golders Green Rotarian passes to higher service

The members of the Rotary Club of Golders Green bring the sad tidings that our dear friend and member Raolo Giusti passed away most peacefully yesterday at his home, in the company of his family. He had just celebrated his 103rd birthday and he was able to see the card which we had all sent to him and he heard our messages read out.

Since his wife Nini passed away a few years ago he continued to live at his apartment in Finchley Central under the watchful eye of a live-in carer. He had a splendid life and achieved much and I am sure his full story will be told in due course by his family and our members.
