Chuka Umunna MP speaks to rotarians


Monday, August 19th 2013, Assistant Governor Central Francis visited the Rotary Club of Streatham.  Also in attendance was Chris Wyatt the Assistant Governor South West, Chuka Umunna the Member of Parliament for Streatham who was the guest speaker and a host of visitors. In her remarks, Club President Mary Madden reiterated her commitment to work with the Lambeth Alzheimer's Society and called on Chuka Umunna MP to support her vision.  

In addition to the Alzheimer's, President Mary praised the tenacity of club members in their spirited effort in standing behind their various successful international interests, particularly the wheel chair project in Afikpo, Nigeria.

Commenting on the visit, AG Francis quipped about the MP's suitability for membership of Rotary and called on the club to recruit him at the earliest convenience. In all, a light-hearted social gathering of rotarians. (Photograph, L - R; AG Francis and Chuka Umunna MP)
